Your Donations Change Lives

Your donated items do more than find a new home—they fund vital programs like job training, education, and career services, empowering individuals to overcome barriers and secure meaningful employment.

Last year, Goodwill of Northwest North Carolina provided these services to 34,845 people, creating a strong economic impact and helping build brighter futures.

In 2023, Goodwill recycled 50 million pounds of unwanted items and advanced its sustainability initiatives by building nine LEED-certified facilities, helping to reduce waste and create a greener future.

Your generosity changes lives and supports our community in countless ways.

"I want to say thank you for the amazing experience Goodwill provided me. Goodwill is here for you."

Elena's Story

Elena, a single mother who immigrated to the United States from Ukraine, faced immense challenges as she worked to provide for her child and build a new life. Despite her background in education and business administration, she struggled to find work in her field. Everything changed when Goodwill awarded her a scholarship to complete a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program. This scholarship covered all expenses, including tuition, books, uniforms, and exams, removing the financial barriers that stood in her way. Today, Elena is thriving as a CNA and is even considering furthering her education in healthcare. She credits Goodwill with transforming her life and showing her daughter the power of perseverance and pursuing one’s dreams.
