The Goodwill Career Center in Asheville is launching two free, week-long summer camps designed to help local teens and young adults explore high-demand industries, connect with regional employers, and jumpstart their future careers.

Both programs combine engaging activities with real-world exposure to thriving local sectors. To ensure these opportunities are accessible to all area families, Goodwill is providing lunch and transportation for both camps at no cost. Because of the collaborative, hands-on curriculum, participants in either camp must commit to attending all five days of their selected session.

Youth ages 16-22 can choose from two specialized tracks this July:

Track 1: Career Exploration Camp (July 6 – July 10)
Running from Monday, July 6 through Friday, July 10 (9:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. daily), this camp offers an interactive, broad-spectrum look into six major industries driving the regional economy:
Target Fields: Healthcare, Entrepreneurship & Small Business, Culinary Arts, Hospitality, Skilled Trades, and Outdoor Recreation.
Highlights: Interactive games, prizes, and exclusive, behind-the-scenes business tours across the Asheville community.

Track 2: Healthcare Career Camp (July 20 – July 24)
Running from Monday, July 20 through Friday, July 24 (9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. daily), this camp provides deep-dive, clinical exposure for young adults specifically interested in medical professions.
Target Fields: Nursing, clinical technology, and diverse hospital/laboratory career paths.
Highlights: Immersive simulation lab experiences, local college campus tours, and an educational field trip to the renowned Bodies Museum in Gatlinburg, Tennessee.

Registration and Contact Information
Space is strictly limited for both sessions, and positions will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
