There isn’t much we don’t take. And, donations to Goodwill are often tax deductible (visit irs.gov for guidelines). Your stuff may not be new to you, but it’s new to us. Every bit goes a long way in funding job training and career services across northwest North Carolina. Donations can be made at any Goodwill store or donation center. Find the one nearest to you.
Most needed items include:
- Clothing
- Shoes
- Furniture
- Linens
- Accessories like purses and belts
- Jewelry
- Small appliances like toasters, blenders, and coffee makers
- Household goods like pots, dishes, and home décor
- Toys
- Books and DVDs
- Computers
- Vehicles
It’s hard to say “no thank you” to a donation. However, if an item is not in saleable condition, Goodwill incurs costs to handle or dispose of the item.
