Goodwill Industries of Northwest North Carolina will host a six-week A-B Tech class titled “Spanish for the Workplace” from Sept. 19-Oct. 24.
The seminar will meet 6-8 p.m. Mondays at 1616 Patton Ave.
“Our Spanish speaking population is growing, and so there is also a growing need for people in the workplace who can communicate with fellow employees for who English is not their primary language,” said Kim Stowe, skills training facilitator. “This class offers a great opportunity to help overcome language barriers between and among businesses and the community.”
The class will teach conversational Spanish to those who work with or interact with Latino people on a frequent basis.
Anyone in the medical field, administration, EMS, banking, landscaping hotel/restaurant management and other fields is encouraged to attend.
