Professional Center & Adult High School to Hold Open House

Goodwill Industries of Northwest North Carolina will hold an open house on Wednesday, March 22, to celebrate its newly remodeled Professional Center and Access Center Adult High School. The open house will be held from 10 a.m. until noon at Goodwill’s headquarters, 2701 University Parkway.

“This will be an opportunity for the community to tour the Professional Center’s new facilities, meet our staff, and learn about our ever-expanding services,” said Jaymie Eichorn, vice president of marketing and communications for Goodwill.  “The Access Center Adult High School has also been updated, and will have representatives available from both Goodwill and Forsyth Tech to explain how this program is continuing to educate, equip and encourage those who seek to develop their employability skills.”

About the Access Center Adult High School
The Access Center Adult High School is a partnership between Goodwill and Forsyth Tech that offers a unique opportunity for adults to earn their high school diplomas. Students receive individualized services and support from a career coach to help guide their process to success and job placement assistance. In addition, they receive help from instructors in coursework while earning a credential in a skill area that is in high demand with employers. Participants must be 18 years or older.

At Goodwill’s Professional Center in Winston-Salem, professionals seeking a competitive edge in their job search can receive free assistance with networking skills, interviewing strategies, salary negotiation, social media and image consulting. The Professional Center is operated in partnership with the NC Works system. The Center also provides career transition services for companies and can connect employers to qualified candidates.
