Skills Training
Goodwill Industries of Northwest North Carolina provides an array of targeted skills training programs, largely in partnership with the community college system. These short-term programs train students to become employable in high demand fields such as healthcare, customer service and hospitality industries, trades skills such as welding, office technology, culinary, professional truck driver training, and many others. Students may also choose to take stackable credentials in some locations so that they can enter the workforce with one credential and add training or credentials to their career track while working. Skills Training classes are offered in Buncombe, Catawba, Davidson, Forsyth, Haywood, Henderson, Iredell, and Rowan Counties. Financial assistance is available for those who qualify.
