For the second time this year, Goodwill Industries of Northwest North Carolina is holding a big box salvage auction in which all boxes will contain small electronics, including TVs, and general merchandise. The sale will take place on Wednesday, Oct.29, from noon until 3 p.m., at the Goodwill Outlet Store located at 2760 Peters Creek Parkway in Winston-Salem.
Forty boxes will be auctioned off, and bidding begins at 1 p.m.. There’s an entrance fee of $1 per person, and all reasonable bids will be considered. Boxes are sold as is. All purchases must be picked up by 5 p.m. on the day of the auction.
“It’s a great way to purchase electronic components and help the community at the same time”, said Sara Butner, communications manager for Goodwill. “Proceeds from the auction will help fund Goodwill’s employment and training programs, so it’s a win/win for everybody.”
