This baseball season, Goodwill will again partner with the Asheville Tourists, Hickory Crawdads, and Winston-Salem Dash to support the local community, collect donations in support of Goodwill’s mission, and educate fans about our employment and training services.
For the second year, Goodwill and the Winston-Salem Dash will present a Salute to Veterans at games on Friday, April 13, Thursday, June 14, and Wednesday, July 4. At each game, a veteran who has participated in Goodwill’s Veterans Services program will be recognized on the field and will receive a certificate from the team. Additionally, the team will promote Goodwill’s Bling pop-up jewelry boutique at the game on Friday, May 11, and will collect donations at the game on Friday, Aug. 17.
Goodwill also partners with the Hickory Crawdads to present a “Salute to Troops Night” on Friday, May 25. Veterans and active duty military will receive free parking courtesy of Goodwill. At the annual “Superhero Night” game, fans can stop by Goodwill’s table to learn about our Ability Services program. Game dates will be announced at a later date.
The popular “Goodwill Wednesdays” return to Asheville Tourists games beginning in April.
