Goodwill Industries of Northwest North Carolina will hold a grand opening for its new retail store in Conover on Thursday, July 20 at 8:45 a.m. The new store, located in the Catawba Village Shopping Center (835 US HWY 70, Conover), is adjacent to Goodwill’s Outlet Store and Catawba County Career Connections Center.
“Our Conover store features a new design that promises to create a great shopping experience for our customers,” said Jaymie Eichorn, Goodwill Vice President of Marketing and Communications. “In addition, we’re introducing the concept of a community space in which we plan to host local musicians, book signings, DIY workshops and other events.”
Store staff, local officials, and members of Goodwill’s executive management team will attend the ribbon cutting ceremony at 8:45 a.m. Afterwards, customers are invited to browse the vast inventory of donated clothing, furniture, shoes, toys and home decor.
The new Conover store will be open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., and on Sundays from 1-6 p.m. Donations of saleable clothing and household items are accepted at all Goodwill stores.
