Goodwill’s annual donation drive conducted at Forsyth County high schools, Donate to Educate, saw a dramatic increase in collected donations this year. This year, the schools donated 47,370 pounds of goods, well above the 30,706 that was collected in 2015 – more than a 50 percent increase.
The totals for each school are:
1. Mt. Tabor High School – 13,080 lbs.
2. Parkland High School – 9,994 lbs.
3. Reynolds High School – 4,800 lbs.
4. West Forsyth High School – 3,769 lbs
5. Carter High School – 3,100 lbs.
6. Early College of Forsyth – 2,987 lbs.
7. North Forsyth High School – 2,600 lbs.
8. Carver High School – 2,020 lbs.
9. Reagan High School – 1,740 lbs.
10. East Forsyth High School – 1,500 lbs.
11. Walkertown – 880 lbs.
12. Main St. Academy – 800 lbs.
13. Glenn High School – 100 lbs.
Dana Conte, Director of Donation Services, particularly recognized Mt. Tabor High School teacher Fran Delmonico for her efforts coordinating the drive there, and Parkland High School teacher Stephanie Sweet. Parkland High collected 7,000 lbs. more donations than in 2015. In all, five schools posted results above the previous year.
Collectively, the donations from Donate to Educate will provide services to 1,973 individuals in Forsyth County.
