Color Me Goodwill 2016

Color Me Goodwill is a fast-paced, head-turning fashion show being held on March 18 at the Diana Wortham Theatre in downtown Asheville.

Doors open at 6 pm for a cocktail reception featuring spontaneous artwork from six local artists (Lorelle Bacon, Craig Burgwardt, Melissa Kucin, Nute Nicholson, Mary Alice Ramsey, and Lynn Smith Stanley) and music by the Sara Fields Trio. At 7 pm, emcees Josh Michael of Star 104.3 and Jeff Messer from 880 The Revolution will host a unique show reflecting Asheville’s growing trend of upcycled fashions.

Six designers have combed through Goodwill stores for items to upcycle into creative clothing for 30 models that will walk the runway. Guests will vote for their favorite designer. This year’s designers are Tricia Ellis, Rachel Friel, Danielle Chaboudy, McKinney Gough, Leanna Echeverri, and Malou Cordery. Photography by Max Ganly Photography.

When the lights dim, move into the reception area to meet the designers and artists and explore their creations up close and personal. Ticket price of $15 includes one drink, snacks and appetizers.
