Goodwill Opens New Store in Brevard

7/29/2008

Goodwill Store - Brevard - Transylvania County

Goodwill Industries of Northwest North Carolina announced the grand opening of its Brevard retail store on Wednesday, July 9th at 1266 Asheville Highway.  Goodwill’s modern thrift store offers a large inventory of clothing, furniture, shoes, toys and housewares.  Customers are invited to celebrate the event and browse the aisles of newly displayed items for sale.

“We are pleased and grateful to be opening a new store in Brevard,” said Jaymie Eichorn, director of marketing for Goodwill. “We hope this location will provide a convenient option for shoppers and donors.  With more donations and sales, we can further support our training programs for those in need.”

Store staff, local officials and members of Goodwill executive management attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 9.  The Brevard Goodwill store will be open Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Donations of saleable clothing and household items are accepted at all Goodwill stores.

Goodwill sells donated items in its stores to fund career development and training programs that help people find jobs and become more independent.  Goodwill served over 22,500 people in the last year alone.
