Goodwill Outlet Store to Hold Grand Reopening Event

2/25/2010

Goodwill Store - Asheville Outlet Center - Buncombe County

Asheville NC

Asheville, NC – Goodwill Industries of Northwest North Carolina will have a grand reopening of its Outlet Store at 1616 Patton Avenue on Thursday, February 25 at 9 a.m. The event is being held to celebrate recent renovations including a new look, store layout and additional 50% of shopping space. Goodwill’s Outlet Store offers a different way to shop Goodwill with a “buy the pound” treasure hunt starting at just 59 cents per pound (larger items are priced individually). Shoppers are invited to join the celebration on February 25 and peruse 9,300 square feet of inventory including clothing, housewares, kitchen items, toys, shoes, sporting goods, books and electronics. Door prizes and live music from “The Smiling G’s” are part of the festivities planned for the day. “Our Outlet Stores have really taken off in the last year,” said Jaymie Eichorn, director of Marketing for Goodwill. “In this economy, people are looking for ways to stretch their dollars and still get quality items – the Outlet Store offers that opportunity and the recent renovations make it that much more fun to shop.” Revenue generated from the sale of donated items funds career development and training programs that help people find jobs and reach financial stability. In the Asheville area, Goodwill offers these programs at its Asheville Workforce Development Center, also located at 1616 Patton Avenue. Shoppers are invited to visit Goodwill’s Career Connections Center located next to the Outlet Store to learn about the free, personalized career services available to job seekers.
