This year’s “Color Me Goodwill” fashion show will add some four-legged models to the runway.
“For the first time ever, we’ll partner with the Asheville Humane Society, so that the audience will not only see some great fashions, they’ll also get to see some very special dogs, that represent the need of finding forever homes,” said Jaymie Eichorn, vice president of marketing for Goodwill Industries of Northwest North Carolina.
“Color Me Goodwill” contestants will display original designs, made entirely from materials purchased at a Goodwill retail store. Then, while judges are selecting a winner, some very original ambassador dogs will take to the runway, sporting their own special apparel.
The fashion show will take place on Friday, April 28 at the Orange Peel in Asheville.
“Last year we had 450 people attend the fashion show, which is a ticketed event, so we expect it to sell out quickly, especially now that we’ll be joined by our adorable furry friends,” said Ms. Eichorn.
